I've noticed my Lenovo Legion Y545 is seriously bulging, especially on the left side near the space bar and Alt/Windows keys. It's getting worse, and I'm concerned it might explode. My boyfriend thinks it's okay, but I'm really worried about safety. Should I take action?

If it's bulging so much that the screen won't shut properly, that's a huge red flag. You really need to replace that battery soon!

Honestly, you might need a new boyfriend along with a new battery! Don't keep that thing inside until it's replaced—it's a fire hazard waiting to happen!

Haha, I’ll keep the boyfriend but ditch his advice on this!

Definitely prioritize safety over his opinions!

Stop using it right now! A battery that's swollen can catch fire or explode. It’s also called a 'spicy pillow' for a reason. Get someone to open it up and replace that battery!

I was worried about this—I'm going to have him open it.

Preach! And do you know what replacement battery is compatible?

Hey! You definitely shouldn't ignore that. It sounds like your battery is swelling, which can be dangerous. It's best to get it replaced ASAP. Don't wait on your boyfriend's advice here!
