I'm on the hunt for a new camera and microphone setup for a small conference room (10ft x 20ft). The table is arranged lengthwise down the room, and our executives have a budget of $500. They've been using a low-quality PTZ from Aliexpress that struggles to pick up details from just a couple of feet away, paired with a Bluetooth speaker/mic combo on the desk, and it's just not cutting it. I've heard about the Owl, but it's likely out of budget. Any recommendations for something that would fit their needs? Thanks in advance!

I just snagged a refurbished Owl for around that budget. Might be worth checking out if you can hunt down a good deal.
For that price range, I'm honestly stumped. It sounds like your situation is similar to ours. Our higher-ups wanted us to set up voice detection mics but when we asked about budget, they wanted us to do it without spending a dime on new equipment! It’s frustrating! Good luck and I hope you find something that works.
In my experience, the Owls have been nothing but problematic. They’re out of your budget too, but we recently set up Logitech’s Rally equipment and it's been great so far!
What kind of issues did you face? I remember using them before and everyone seemed to love it.
Totally get where you're coming from. Companies can spend millions on big projects but skimp on essential tech like this. It's the old-school mindset of needing to see direct profit from every purchase that holds everything back.
