Hey everyone! I've been using Windows 11 for about two years now, and I'm really frustrated with how much RAM it uses. I love gaming, especially Microsoft Flight Simulator, which is quite RAM-intensive. I want to make sure my files don't become corrupt while I'm playing or if I ever decide to downgrade Windows. Any thoughts on the best version of Windows for gaming?

Your RAM should generally be fully utilized unless you're running out of it. Just using RAM doesn't corrupt files at all. Can you explain what exact problem you're facing with low RAM? It sounds like you're worried about system performance, right?

I think what they're trying to say is that their PC feels slow because it runs out of RAM while gaming, not that it corrupts files.

Just remember, Windows needs some RAM to operate in the background. It usually uses around 0.5GB when idle, so even if it feels full, this is standard. If you're worried about corrupting files during a downgrade, make sure to back up everything first!

Definitely! It's always a good idea to back up your data before making any changes to your system.

Windows 11 is actually quite solid for gaming. Some people say 10 is still good, but with 11, you're getting updated support for newer hardware. Just make sure you have at least 16 GB of RAM and a decent CPU and GPU. That's where the real performance lies!

Honestly, if you're looking back in history, Windows 98SE had a huge impact on gaming back in the day, but now your best bet is choosing between Windows 10 and 11. They're both pretty good options!
