Why won’t my upgraded PC power on?

I recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, processor, and RAM, but now I'm facing a frustrating issue: it won't power on at all. I've verified that all the connections are secure, swapped out power supplies, and even tried bridging the power switch with a screwdriver, but nothing seems to work. Could this be a faulty motherboard or is there something else I should check?

It sounds like you might need a BIOS update for that motherboard. Sometimes, new CPUs need the latest BIOS to work properly, especially if they're a newer generation. Check the motherboard manufacturer's site for any updates or instructions on how to flash it if you get the power back on.

Before you attempt a BIOS update, make sure to check if any diagnostic LEDs are lit up on the motherboard. If it's getting zero power, it's possible that some PSU cables aren't connected properly. You might want to ensure everything is latched securely, and if that's good, consider testing the PSU—like checking if its fan spins or using a multimeter to measure voltage.
