Hey everyone! I'm having a major issue with my PC. Just recently, while I was using it, my screen went black and displayed a 'no HDMI connection' message, but my PC was still running. I couldn't do anything besides force a shutdown. After rebooting, I noticed that all my games now run at a crawl, around 1 to 10 fps, which is really frustrating. To make things worse, I found that the sleep mode option had disappeared from my settings. All of my drivers are up to date. Could this be related to the age of my PC? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
My system specs:
- Windows 10
- MSI B450M PRO-M2 MAX
- Radeon RX 5500 XT
- AMD Ryzer 5 1600 Six-Core
- 16GB RAM

I’d recommend checking the GPU status in your device manager. If there’s a warning or error code related to your graphics card, that could indicate the problem. You could try using the AMD Cleanup Utility to get rid of the current drivers and then install the latest stable ones.
It worked!!! I switched the HDMI port and everything is back to normal. Thank you all for the help!
Have you tried using a different HDMI port on your graphics card? Sometimes, just switching ports can resolve display issues.
Have you tried using System Restore? It can take your PC back to a point before all this started happening, which might fix the issue. Just make sure to back up anything important first! Here's a guide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Restore.
It sounds like whatever "random stuff" you did might have affected your system. Make sure to reverse any recent changes that might have caused this. It could be anything from accidentally deleting system files to installing something that didn't jive well with your setup.
