Advice for My First Gaming Build with a Limited Budget

I'm looking to build my first gaming machine that's not too fancy. I already have an RX 6600 GPU and an Aresgame 600W PSU, so I want to build around those. I initially considered the Elite Mini B550, but my experience with that company was terrible, leading me to cancel my order. I'm aiming for specs similar to a Ryzen 7 5700G with 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700X, a B550 motherboard, a 1TB SSD, and potentially 32 or 64GB of RAM. I also need a case, which I know little about; I just want something functional, even if it means using a wooden frame. I'm open to any recommendations, especially for deals on new parts. Also, is it worth considering a prebuilt option if it offers better value? Finally, what OS should I go with, Windows 10 or 11? I'm currently using a Windows 7 machine, and I love it, but I'm wondering if it's feasible to install it on a newer system for gaming. I'm worried about potential price increases on components too, so any insights would be helpful!

Given your budget, I recommend going for an Intel Core i5-14400F, a Gigabyte B760 GAMING X AX motherboard, 32GB of Silicon Power Value Gaming RAM, a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU cooler, and a Montech XR PC case. That would put you around $460. This setup gives you a solid balance of performance for gaming and everyday tasks without breaking the bank.

Why do you prefer the Intel i5-14400F over the Ryzen options? I'm mostly looking for a computer to handle browsing and some gaming too. And thanks for mentioning the cooler—I didn't realize I'd need one since this is my first build!
