Is Learning Python with Brilliant Enough for Game Development?

Hey everyone! I recently started learning Python and computer science using Brilliant. I'm really enjoying the process, but I'm wondering if it's enough to prepare me for building games or working on small projects. Should I stick with Brilliant for Python and computer science, or would it be better to switch gears and learn C# as well? Also, what are some good ways to apply what I'm learning in real projects?

If you're looking to get into game development, learning C# for Unity is a solid choice. You can also explore C++ for different types of projects. Tutorials are super helpful to practice and get hands-on experience while you code!

Brilliant can be a great starting point! If it sparks your interest, stick with it. But if you're serious about development, don't forget the value of reading official documentation and good books too—it’ll take your skills to the next level.

It's great that you're enjoying your learning journey! What's really important is to start coding and creating projects instead of just following guides. Try building something small—you'll probably have to learn a few new things along the way, but that’s part of the fun!

I'm in a similar boat! I've found that learning blueprints in Unreal Engine 5 can be a cool way to create games too. Maybe it’s worth considering jumping straight into UE5 if that interests you!

Don't stress too much about doing everything perfectly. Just think of a simple project you can tackle, and dive in! Even if it challenges you, it’s a good learning experience. Just remember to keep experimenting!
