Why is my Linux system randomly restarting?

I've been using Linux Mint 22.1 on my AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM and a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. Everything was smooth sailing for a few weeks, but suddenly my computer started restarting without any clear reason. I've checked the CPU temperatures, and they seem fine. The only recent change I can think of is an update that happened on Saturday, and the restarts began the following day. Could it be that the update adjusted some temperature settings? I'm not sure how to investigate that further. Also, I've noticed that the AUX output stops working randomly, but it tends to come back after a restart.

When does the restarting happen? Is it while you're using the system or when it's idle? Sometimes if the system goes to sleep, it might restart due to low swap or other issues. I recommend using 'journalctl' to check logs between power cycles for any clues. That will really help you diagnose the issue.

I don't really know Linux commands, but I checked syslog instead. Didn't see anything unusual around the time of the restarts. It happened while I was playing games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Diablo 3.
