I'm using an MSI A1000GS PSU that came with a bundle, but it only has one PCIE 8 pin cable. It has two 12V2x6 connectors, so I thought I could use a 12VHPWR to dual 8 pin adapter that I found on Amazon. The adapter is the Chenyang CY ATX3.0 PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Power Modular Cable to Dual ATX 8Pin, meant for graphics cards like the 3080 and 3090 TI. However, I noticed that the adapter only has 7 out of the 8 pins wired for each connector, and that makes me worried. Could this be a problem? Any advice would be appreciated!

I think you'll be fine using that adapter. It's not mandatory for all pins to be connected. As long as you're only missing ground pins, it shouldn't affect performance—one ground pin is typically enough.
I wouldn't recommend using that adapter. Unstable connections can lead to heat and melting, which has been a big issue with these 12VHPWR connectors. Better safe than sorry!
What would you suggest as a good alternative? I heard MODDIY makes some reliable cables.
If you're cautious, you might want to just use one of the plugs from the two separate 12V6x2 connections. That way, you can lessen the load on any single cable and stay safe.
But one of the plugs is missing a pin that I think is crucial for 12V. I might need to check with a voltmeter to be safe.
