I'm handling check deposits for several clients, each using different banks. Currently, we have to install multiple check scanners on one device, which is becoming a bit overwhelming as we have a growing list of banks to manage. I'm looking for a smart solution that doesn't involve using a KVM. Has anyone faced a similar issue and found a workaround?

Wait, are you saying each scanner only works with one specific bank? That seems weird to me. We use Digital Check Ethernet scanners that can work with various banks, but that’s mostly on the teller side.
How are yours set up? USB connections or something else?
Man, check scanners can be so frustrating! They're even tougher than printers sometimes. I've seen a lot of setups where people just have to deal with multiple devices for different banks, which sounds like what you're doing. It definitely feels like the banks make it harder than it should be.
Not an accountant, but why are you depositing checks to so many different banks? Would it make things easier to consolidate to one bank and transfer funds later?
I totally get it! One of our clients has five check scanners just to deal with different banks. We tried sharing one scanner across banks, but it didn’t work at all. You really might need to stick with separate scanners for each.
Yeah, they all require their own drivers and software, which complicates things even more.
