I'm looking into ordering a new Dell Precision 3680 tower for a client who runs a dental practice. Their current 3D panoramic x-ray machine isn't compatible with Windows 11, and since their existing PC is really outdated, they need an upgrade. However, I can't seem to find a way to order the new machine with a Windows 10 downgrade option through Dell's online system. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck dealing with a Dell sales rep to get a system with Windows 10 Pro at this point. If not, I'll have to consider reinstalling Windows 10 myself once it arrives, but I'd like to avoid that hassle if possible.

You can just install Windows 10 when the machine arrives. OEM licenses for Windows 11 also work for Windows 10, so you should be fine to do that!
I tried to get a downgrade last year and it didn’t work out for me either, but I'd be surprised if a Dell sales rep couldn’t help you out. It might be worth giving them a call and explaining your situation.
Exactly! If you order it with Windows 11, the license key embedded in the BIOS should allow you to roll back to Windows 10 without issues.
