Is it normal for my PC fan to run loudly for a long time while gaming?

I've been gaming for several hours now, and I've noticed that my PC fan is running quite loudly. My tower also feels warm to the touch at times, and I've even shut it down for a bit just to be safe. Should I be worried about this, or is it typical for demanding games like Perfect Tower 2 that require a lot of processing power?

If your CPU cooler fan is running a lot, it could be a sign that the thermal paste needs replacing. Old thermal paste can dry up and lose effectiveness. Also, ensure your case has enough space around it for proper airflow.

Generally, the temperatures and voltage are more critical than the fan noise. Fans are pretty easy to replace and affordable. As long as your system isn't overheating, you're likely just fine.

It's usually okay if the fan is running high. If something were seriously wrong, you'd notice throttling or performance issues while gaming. Being hot is common in demanding games, so it might not be a big deal.

You might want to check if your computer is full of dust. A build-up can affect airflow, which leads to higher temperatures. Regular cleaning can help keep everything running smoothly.

Lack of airflow can be an issue. Consider removing the panel under your motherboard to enhance airflow. If that helps, you might need additional cooling solutions. A good dust blower can also work wonders every few months.
