Good morning! A customer has asked me to find an immutable backup solution with a budget of under $10,000 and a virtual machine space requirement of 2 TB. Currently, we are using Veeam for backups. I was initially considering Dell or HP solutions, but I'm not confident that any proposals will hit that budget. Are there other systems, like QNAP or Synology, or possibly low-cost, do-it-yourself solutions that combine hardware and software to meet these needs?

Going for a cheap solution might backfire on you in the long run. I'd recommend laying out the costs of solid and reliable systems to your customer because aiming low could be risky.
