Why is my new laptop battery draining so quickly?

I recently replaced my laptop battery, and I've only had 12 charge cycles so far. However, the battery lasts about an hour on a full charge, even with battery saver mode turned on. This seems really low, considering my previous battery had over 400 cycles and performed better. Has anyone else experienced this?

Make sure the new battery has the same capacity as your old one. Did you change it yourself, or was it done through a warranty? Sometimes, the replacement options available can be lower capacity models which might explain the quick drain.

Did you opt for an exact OEM replacement or go with a cheaper off-brand battery? Just to note, Lenovo doesn’t manufacture their batteries in India anymore and rely on local services, which can lead to inconsistencies in quality.

Yeah, I learned the hard way that they outsourced production. I should've double-checked before replacing the battery.

What brand of battery did you install? It's important to check if it's from a reputable source because sometimes shops use cheaper, less efficient batteries as replacements.
