Hi everyone,
I'm almost finished with my PC build, but I still need a reliable USB KVM switch just for my mouse and keyboard. I don't need video capability since my monitor has plenty of ports and I can switch inputs directly on the monitor.
Since I play competitive FPS games, having minimal latency is crucial for me. Honestly, I'd rather unplug and replug my keyboard and mouse than deal with any input lag. I also need to switch between my gaming rig and a Mac, so I'm looking for recommendations on USB KVMs that won't cause noticeable latency.
I've searched for answers online, but I've found mixed information on whether KVM switches introduce any lag at all. If anyone has insights or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Sorry if this seems like a silly question. Thanks a ton!

KVM actually stands for Keyboard, Video, Mouse. If you don’t need the video switching, what you really want is a USB switch instead. You can find those easily on sites like Amazon, and they typically shouldn’t add any latency at all.
Thanks for the quick reply! Just out of curiosity, do you think opting for a USB 3.2 switch over a 3.0 would make any difference? Or would that be too tiny to notice?
