What GPU Should I Choose for 90+ FPS in AAA Games at 1080p?

I'm looking for a graphics card that can consistently deliver 90+ frames per second in AAA titles while playing at 1080p. I have a 165Hz monitor, but I don't mind not hitting that max refresh rate for every game; I just want it to feel smoother than 60 FPS. I was considering the RX 7700XT, but I'm curious if that's overkill or not. What are your recommendations?

Just keep in mind, getting 90+ FPS depends on your game's settings. I have a 4070, and I'm usually running frame generation plus upscaling at 1080p to reach those frame rates on max settings, especially in demanding games like Cyberpunk.

Thanks for the tip! I want to make sure I can run heavy titles without having to crank the settings down too much.

You might also want to check out the RX 6750XT or RX 6800XT. The RX 7600XT or even the 16GB versions of those GPUs are solid options too if you're looking for good performance at that resolution.

The RX 7700XT isn't overkill! It's a wise choice considering future-proofing your setup. It's more about maintaining good FPS now and in the years to come.

Honestly, I'm not too familiar with AMD but I'm running a 4070 with a 5700X3D, and I can easily get 90 FPS while streaming to another PC. You’ll be fine with a solid card like that!

The RX 7700XT seems right on target! You might also want to consider the RTX 4060Ti or RTX 5060Ti, both 16GB versions, for some good options. They should handle 90 FPS in most cases!
