Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my HP Slim Desktop, which currently has a hard disk drive (HDD). I want to know if I can swap it out for a solid state drive (SSD) to improve performance. Here are my specs: HP Slim Desktop - S01-aF0209, AMD Athlon Silver 3050U CPU, 8GB DDR4 memory, and I'm running Windows 11. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Totally agree! Even adding a SATA SSD to a low-end machine like yours can breathe new life into it, making everything way faster, even compared to much older setups.
Absolutely, you can install any SATA SSD in your desktop. Although your CPU isn't the most powerful out there, an SSD will still make your system feel much snappier.
Just a heads-up, are you considering an internal SSD, or would you prefer an external one? An internal would definitely give you better performance.
