Hey everyone! I recently set up a home office for my girlfriend and me, moving my gaming PC into the new space. It's a prebuilt system from Ironside that I got back in 2021. The issue is that after powering on, it shuts off unexpectedly between about 45 seconds to 5 minutes with no warnings. Initially, I thought maybe there was too much plugged into one circuit since the wiring is pretty old, so I tried different outlets but got the same result. I suspect my power supply (PSU) might be the issue since its fan has been rattling for a while now. Ironside support has been slow to respond, and I've already spent a few days troubleshooting. Here are my specs for reference: Ryzen 5 3600, Asetek 550 liquid cooling, and an EVGA 650W PSU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I'd love to game with my little brother before he moves away soon!

It sounds like your PSU might be the culprit, especially since you've noticed the rattling noise. If the fan isn't spinning properly, it could be overheating and shutting down. I'd check if the PSU fan is working and monitor the temperatures for your CPU and GPU in the BIOS. If they’re spiking too high, that could point to a problem with your cooling system or the PSU.
You might want to check for any loose connections inside the case. Sometimes, after a move, things can get a bit jostled around. Also, if the AIO is making strange noises, it could be on its way out. AIOs don’t generally last forever, so it's worth checking the pump's functionality too.
I have a theory that it could be an electrical issue. Older houses sometimes have inconsistent power, and it might be affecting your system. A UPS could help stabilize it. Additionally, you might want to check the CPU temperatures by running a thermal test since an overheating CPU can also cause the PC to shut down suddenly.
Definitely check those temps! If your CPU is overheating, it could possibly be due to the thermal paste needing to be reapplied after the move.
Yeah, I agree! A failing PSU can definitely cause random shutdowns without warning. But remember, it could also be your AIO pump. If it’s failed, your CPU might be overheating and triggering shutdowns.
