I recently hooked up my Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to my new PC after a lot of effort, but I discovered that not all USB-C ports support display functionality. My motherboard has a USB-C port, but it isn't Thunderbolt like my old laptop, which means I'm stuck with a blurry display at a lower resolution. I can't tolerate this since my work is heavily visual. Is there any way to add a Thunderbolt port to my PC? I've heard about expansion cards that might work, but I'm not very tech-savvy. Can I go to Microcenter to get one installed, given that it seems to fit under my graphics card slots? I'd really appreciate any advice on this!

You can definitely look into getting a Thunderbolt expansion card! For instance, there are options like Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 5 expansion cards available online. Just make sure your motherboard supports such cards before buying. Here’s a link to one I found that might work: [Thunderbolt 4 Expansion Card](https://www.amazon.com/MSI-THUNDERBOLTM4-Thunderbolt-Controller-PCIe/dp/B0CT6TSKYQ). It’s a good idea to check out the reviews and compatibility before making a purchase!
Unfortunately, adding Thunderbolt to certain motherboards isn't straightforward because Thunderbolt is more than just the port; it’s an entire hardware interface that's different from standard USB-C. Your best bet would be to look for a PCIe Thunderbolt expansion card, but it’s essential to confirm that your motherboard supports it. If not, you're kind of out of luck. Good luck!
I figured Thunderbolt must be more advanced. I had an old laptop with Thunderbolt, but this new custom PC doesn't have that option. Thanks for confirming this! Any card you'd recommend?
