I'm in a tough spot with my current HP laptop as it's nearing the end of its life. I rely on a variety of software for my job, especially Unity, along with a fair amount of simulation work, machine learning, and coding. I'm looking for something fast that can handle all of this. I've been eyeing the Dell XPS and the Lenovo ThinkPad. What are your thoughts on these models? Or do you have any other recommendations?

Totally agree with going for the ThinkPad! I would definitely avoid Dell XPS laptops, though. They seem great at first, but a lot of users end up having hardware issues like motherboard swaps. Plus, make sure you consider whether you need a dedicated GPU since that can make a big difference.
I’ve had good experiences with ThinkPads! They last long and can handle heavy software well. If you can, check out the newer models like the ThinkPad P-Series, especially the P1. People rave about them for coding and simulations.
If you do prefer the Dell side, XPS can be decent for casual use, but they're more on the premium side without focusing specifically on business needs like ThinkPads do.
Stick with the ThinkPad, no contest! They’re built tough and are great for heavy workloads.
