I've got an EVGA W1 600w power supply that's ranked as F tier in the PSU tier lists. It's been running fine for over three years now, but I'm wondering if I should prioritize replacing it regardless of its current performance. How critical is it to switch it out?

Honestly, it's a safety concern. You really don’t want to risk your whole PC setup just to save a few bucks on a decent PSU. For about $70-100, you could grab a much more reliable unit that won’t put your other components at risk if it fails.
It’s more about avoiding weak units with known problems. The W1 might not fail spectacularly, but if it does go, it could take other parts with it. Considering it is an F tier PSU, replacing it when you can would be a good idea to avoid trouble down the road.
The W1 doesn't have the best reputation because of its flaws, like high voltage ripple and potential safety issues. While it might seem like your unit's been fine, these can carry a fire hazard risk. If you've got the budget, switching to a better PSU would definitely be smart.
If you're planning to upgrade or keep your system long-term, definitely replace it. Even if it hasn't failed yet, the risk of damaging your components is higher with a low-tier PSU. Don't skimp on power quality!
