Why is my brother’s RAM running at only 2666MHz instead of 3200MHz?

I was checking out my brother's PC and noticed that his RAM is only working at 2666MHz, even though he has an i5-10600KF and 32GB of Kingston Fury RAM that's rated for 3200MHz. I tried enabling the XMP profile to boost the speed to 3200MHz, but the PC keeps crashing afterward. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Make sure the RAM sticks are installed in the correct slots, usually slots 2 and 4 from the CPU. This often helps with compatibility when setting XMP profiles.

Glad to hear you got it working at 3200MHz! Sometimes it can be a power issue or related to the CL ratio settings that cause problems when overclocking.
