Should I Stick with Windows 11 or Try Linux for My New Laptop?

I just got a new Dell laptop with an Intel Core i7 that's already running Windows 11. I only plan to use it for light gaming, with Team Fortress 2 being the heaviest game I might play. I've never used Windows before, and I'm considering whether to stick with Windows or install Linux instead. I've heard that Linux can be time-consuming to learn, but I'm willing to put in the effort. What's your advice on this?

Definitely consider sticking with Linux if you're looking for a challenge! It might take a bit to learn, but many people enjoy using it. Windows is just more common, so if you want to ease into using a laptop, it might be the way to go.

I think it's a good idea to stick with Windows, especially since you have no previous experience with either OS. Windows is what most people use, so it might be smoother for you. You can try out Linux later on if you get bored or want to explore!

Why not try both? You can dual boot your laptop so you have access to both Windows and Linux. Just keep in mind that some games run better on Windows. If you're interested in using Linux later, there are plenty of resources to help you learn.

Since you’re new to both Windows and Linux, I’d suggest sticking with Windows 11 for now. It’s already set up and ready to go, plus it will be easier for light gaming. You can always install Linux later if you feel comfortable. Just remember, if you ever change your mind, wiping the drive and going for Linux is always an option.
