Hey everyone! I've been dealing with some really frustrating constant stuttering in nearly every game I play. My **0.1% lows and 1% lows** are terrible, even though my hardware isn't maxed out. Here are my specs:
- **GPU:** RTX 4060 Ti MSI 8GB
- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 5600G
- **RAM:** 8GB DDR4 3200MHz (single-channel)
- **Motherboard:** Biostar B450MH
I've checked the temps, and they're all good (GPU <70°C, CPU <75°C). The stuttering happens even when my VRAM usage is around 5-6GB out of 8GB available, and neither my CPU nor GPU ever hits 100% usage during these spikes.
I've tried a fresh driver install with DDU, disabled background apps, and lowered in-game settings, but nothing seems to help. Could it be that the **weak power delivery of my Biostar B450MH** is holding back my performance? Or is my GPU starting to fail?

Honestly, it’s surprising that you’ve been making do with only 8GB of RAM in 2025. For gaming, 16GB is really the standard now. If you're into newer titles or multitasking, you should really consider upgrading your RAM.
If you're worried about the power delivery, keep an eye on your CPU frequency during games. If it dips under the base clock, that could definitely lead to performance dips and stuttering.
For sure, man! Adding another 8GB stick could definitely smooth things out. Most games nowadays will chew through RAM, especially in multiplayer or open-world scenarios.
It sounds like your RAM might be the issue! Upgrading to 16GB or even 32GB in dual-channel would likely help a lot. A lot of modern games recommend at least 16GB for smooth performance.
