I recently transitioned to PC gaming after selling my Xbox Series X, sparked by my wife wanting to play games together. I picked up a budget rig: an Asus Strix ROG with a Ryzen 5 3600x CPU, an Asus Prime B550 A motherboard, and an Asus RTX 2060 Super GPU. I also upgraded to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, added a 512GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. The cooling is handled by a Noctua CPU cooler, and I'm using the stock Asus case and a generic 600W PSU. Since I'm sticking with AM4 after my recent motherboard purchase, I'm unsure where to take this build next. I've got around $400 set aside for upgrades, and I would love some advice on where to invest it for better gaming performance.

If you're looking to boost your gaming performance, consider upgrading both your CPU and GPU. However, with a budget of $400, it might be tough to do both. A Ryzen 5700X3D would be a great CPU upgrade, but they're hard to find and quite pricey now. Instead, maybe aim for an RX 6600 or a used RX 6700 XT for the GPU, and that way you can also save for a better PSU down the line.
That's a solid point! Maybe start with the CPU like the 5700X and then think about the GPU later?
