I just set up my new Ryzen 5800XT and Gigabyte 5070 combo, and everything was working fine initially. But now, when I try to boot, I'm met with a black screen. It looks like that black screen might not be all bad! There's a pop-up right after the Windows login, which suggests your video card is still functioning. Have you checked for any bloatware or potentially unwanted programs? Sometimes, they can mess things up after an update or installation.
Yeah, I noticed the pop-up too! It's actually Xpoint Verify, which is used by some betting sites to check your location. Once that goes away, it just goes to black. So it sounds like it's a software issue, not your hardware.
