How Do I Connect My RGB Fans to the Motherboard for OpenRGB Control?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out the correct way to connect my CPU RGB fans and case RGB fans to my motherboard so that I can control both using OpenRGB. I have a Sama V40 case with six built-in RGB fans that currently connect to a hub in the case and are controlled by a button on the case. I also use a Thermalright Peerless Assassin CPU cooler with two RGB fans, and my motherboard is an Asus TUF B650E-Wifi.

I've already plugged the PWM cable from the RGB hub into what I think is the CHA3 port on the motherboard. I daisy-chained the ARGB cable from the hub to the two CPU fans, which are connected to the CPU fan and CPU opt ports on the motherboard. However, when I use OpenRGB, it only changes the color of the CPU fans, while the case fans still only respond to the button on the case.

I'm not sure how to set everything up so that I can control the case fans through software and sync them with the CPU fans since I don't want everything to look mismatched. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I suggest connecting the ARGB cable from the case fan hub directly to the motherboard's 5V ARGB header instead of daisy chaining it through the CPU fans. This should allow OpenRGB to control all the fans together seamlessly.

Thanks for the tip! If I connect the case fan hub directly, do I need to leave the CPU fans unconnected to anything? How would they still be controlled?
