I'm trying to connect my Nintendo DS to a Wi-Fi network, but it only supports WEP, and I don't have an Android phone to create a hotspot. Is there a different solution I can use, like a USB dongle or a Wi-Fi extender? I do have a Windows laptop available to help with this.

You could also turn your Windows laptop into a mobile hotspot! Here's a guide from Microsoft on how to do it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/use-your-windows-device-as-a-mobile-hotspot-c89b0fad-72d5-41e8-f7ea-406ad9036b85. Just keep in mind, you might need to enter a password for that.
You might want to check if your wireless router can handle a WEP connection along with a 2.4 GHz 802.11b setup. That should let your DS connect without problems.
If that doesn't work, consider finding an old router that supports WEP. I normally use my phone's hotspot, but since that's not an option for you, I think you can make your laptop the hotspot. I had to do that during the pandemic to save my phone's battery life when I was using it for data. It's definitely doable—just search online for how to set it up on Windows!
I thought you need a password to connect? Does that get in the way?
