I'm looking to upgrade from my laptop with a 3060 6GB GPU, as it's been running low on VRAM. I have a 1440p monitor and I'm planning to build a new PC. My budget is somewhat flexible, especially if I can get good value for my investment. I've been considering the 5070 Ti and the new AMD 9600 XT, though I think 16GB of VRAM would be ideal for future-proofing. Can anyone recommend a good GPU for 1440p gaming?

For 1440p, I think the 5070 Ti is your best bet, especially if you’re into ray tracing. If not, check out the 9070 XT; it offers great value too. Also, keep in mind that the RX 7800 XT is worth considering as well!
Both cards should give you a solid experience, just depends on your priorities like ray tracing.
If you can find a good deal on the 4070 Ti Super, that’s also a great option. Just avoid the 5060 because it’s a waste of money.
I’ll be doing a bit more research, thanks!
I’ve heard a lot about the 4070 Ti. What's the performance like?
The 5070 Ti and 9070 XT are both solid choices for 1440p. Honestly, I wouldn't go any higher than that unless you plan to upgrade to 4K later.
Yeah, anything like the 5090 is overkill for 1440p.
Exactly! I'm trying to find the sweet spot for value.
Honestly, if you're looking for bang for your buck, the 9070 XT is really close to the performance of the 5080 but at a better price. You might also want to check prices on the 4060 Ti or even the 3080; they've been solid with 1440p.
What are you comparing their prices at? I noticed some big differences depending on the store.
I’ll be looking into that. Trying to find the best deal!
Thanks! I'll definitely look into both options.
