I've already chosen NVIDIA for my needs since I do a lot of streaming and work with Adobe programs, so I'm not looking at AMD. I'm trying to decide between the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3060 with 12GB of memory. I've heard that having more VRAM is critical for modern games like the upcoming Indiana Jones, but the RTX 3060 is about $10 cheaper here. I'm curious which card would keep me relevant for longer. Would it be worth considering saving up for an RTX 2080 Ti, which I sometimes find for the same price on the used market?

NVIDIA had a strange strategy with the RTX 3060, giving it 12GB of memory while the 3060 Ti and 3070 only got 8GB. I used the base 3060 before upgrading to the 3060 Ti, which outperformed it despite having less VRAM. If you're focused on 1080p gaming, the 3070 is definitely the better pick; it delivers superior performance. If the price is right, I'd recommend going for the 3070.
Thanks for the insight! I'm sticking with 1080p for now, and I found a 2080 Ti at the same price. Should I consider that instead?
