However, I can't find many reviews on it. Some people say it's not great while others think it's okay. I originally considered the MSI MAG A850GL, but the store employee recommended this Thermaltake since it was cheaper. Now, I'm worried that it could be a bad choice that might damage my new PC. Anyone have experience with this PSU?

You might want to check out the PSU tier list. For your build, an A-tier PSU would be ideal. The MSI unit is B-tier, while the Thermaltake ranks below that. Just something to consider if you want the best for your setup.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the Thermaltake PSU, especially with an expensive GPU like the RTX 5080. In this case, a high-quality PSU is essential. The MSI A850GL isn't the best, but it's better than this option. Where are you located? I can help find some alternatives in your area.
