Best Linux Distro for Lenovo Legion 9i?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to switch my Lenovo Legion 9i, which has an i9 Intel chip and a 4090 Nvidia GPU, over to Linux. I haven't used Linux in years, as I've been on a MacBook Pro. I initially got this laptop for gaming, but I've mostly been focused on optimizing the system to ensure privacy from Windows. What version of Linux would you recommend that would work smoothly with this hardware? Any advice would be appreciated!

You can't go wrong with any major distro like Ubuntu or Fedora—they should work just fine. But if you want something easy, I'd suggest Pop!_OS. It has out-of-the-box support for Nvidia, making setup a breeze!

Agreed! Pop!_OS has a really user-friendly interface, especially for gaming. Really makes things simpler.

If you're looking for a good gaming experience on your Nvidia GPU, check out some distros specifically optimized for that. There’s a list of distros made for gaming on Nvidia GPUs that's worth checking out! They come with good support for your hardware right out of the box.

CachyOS has been great for me with my Nvidia setup. It runs smoothly, and I’ve had no major issues. Might be worth giving it a try!

Honestly, you might just want to go with Debian. It’s stable and has a large community if you ever run into issues. Plus, you can customize it to your liking!
