I just finished putting together my new PC, and I'm a little stuck. Here are the parts I used:
- ASUS AMD x870-Plus WiFi motherboard
- Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU
- G.Skill DDR5 F5-5200 48Gx2 RAM
- Samsung 990 Pro M.2 SSD
- MSI RX580 GPU (just a temporary one until my new GPU arrives)
- MSI 1000watt power supply
After assembling everything, when I turn on the PSU, the RGB lights on the motherboard light up, but when I hit the power button on the front panel, nothing happens. I even tried disconnecting the front panel wires and jumping the pins with a screwdriver, but it still won't turn on. I've double-checked all the power cables on both ends too. Any ideas on what I should troubleshoot next?

Are you using a boot drive that has Windows installed? That could be an issue if there’s no OS to boot from. Also, make sure everything is seated properly, especially the CPU and RAM. It's critical that those connections are snug! Let’s see if we can get some fans to spin first before worrying about the OS.
