Is my i5-12600k powerful enough for my new RTX 5070ti?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded from an RTX 3080 to an MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 ti, but I'm running into some issues. After about half a game in Black Ops 6, I'm getting a "DirectX error" that causes crashes. I've also experienced crashes with Oblivion Remastered at times. When I had my 3080, I never faced these problems. The only hardware change has been the GPU, and I'm not sure where to go from here. I'd love any advice you have! For reference, my specs are i5-12600k, 3600mhz DDR4 RAM, and a Corsair 850x power supply.

It sounds like your CPU is more than capable of keeping up with that GPU. The crashes you're experiencing are likely due to Nvidia's driver issues rather than the CPU itself. I suggest rolling back to an older driver version and also making sure you cleaned out any previous drivers using DDU; that could really help stabilize your system.

That’s reassuring! My GPU runs at about 55°C under load and stays around 94-96% utilization, so it's good to know I'm in a decent range. You really think this could just be a driver issue?
