Need Help Choosing Parts for a PC Build with a 4070 for My Wife

My friend gifted me a 4070, and I want to incorporate it into a new PC build for my wife. She usually plays less demanding games like Stardew Valley, Sims, and indie titles, but since her old system with the GTX 1060 is ancient and needs an upgrade, this seems like a great opportunity. My goal is to avoid overspending on parts she doesn't really need, while also ensuring the 4070 can perform well if she ever decides to dive into more demanding games. I'm looking for recommendations on a CPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, and other components that will provide a good balance between performance and price without bottlenecking the card.

I have a 4070 OC with a 13600kf, and it works like a charm at 1080p! For your build, I suggest checking out 13th or 14th generation Intel CPUs if you can find a good deal. You can save some cash by pairing it with a DDR4 motherboard instead of going for DDR5 unless you aim to future-proof it. While AM5 boards are nice, they're pricier. If your wife won't be gaming at low resolutions with CPU-intensive games, a later Intel chip from the LGA 1700 era would be ideal, assuming you can snag one at a decent price.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that. I'm usually more into AMD chips; do you think there's a solid reason to go Intel in this case?
