My New Power Supply Is Not Turning On – Help!

I just got a brand new Lian Li Edge Gold 750W power supply (check it out [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Jjy8TW/lian-li-edge-gold-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-eg0750g-black)), but it won't power on. I tried the paper clip test, but all I get is a strange clicking noise, and the fan spins for just half a second before stopping. This is the second power supply I've tried, and both have been totally unresponsive. I'm starting to think the issue might not be with the PSU but with something else, but I'm not sure where to look.

It sounds like your PSU might be fine! Keep in mind that some PSUs have a zero-RPM fan feature, which means the fan won't spin up unless it's under load, so it stopping isn't unusual. If it's clicking when you try to power it on, that could be a sign of a short or an issue with cables.

Just to clarify, have you connected all the right cables from the new PSU to your motherboard? Sometimes the issue can come from a loose connection. If this is your first build, it's pretty common to face such setup issues. If you can, share some pictures of your setup so we can help more!

Yes, I used all the wires that came with the PSU, but the motherboard still doesn't get power.
