Hey folks! I recently built a new PC with a Ryzen 5 7600, RTX 4070 Super, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM running on Windows 11. It's been about two weeks now, but I'm facing a strange issue. My PC occasionally becomes unresponsive in a weird way — the screen doesn't go black, but every action I take, like moving the mouse or clicking, is delayed by around 5 seconds. It feels like the system is running at 1 frame per several seconds. The only fix I've found is a full restart. The first occurrence happened right after booting and opening a browser, while the second was after an hour of regular browsing. I checked Task Manager during these episodes, and everything looked normal; no component was maxed out, and temperatures are fine. I'm not sure if this is a Windows glitch, a driver issue, or something else entirely. Has anyone dealt with this kind of problem?

Since you've only had this system for two weeks, it might be worth looking into the BIOS settings or any recent updates that could have messed things up. Just make sure to backup your important files first!
Have you considered performing a system restore to a point before the issue began? That might help if it’s related to a Windows update or something. Just a thought!
It sounds like you might want to check your event logs for any system errors when it happens. Hardware freezes usually lead to a total black screen, whereas software or driver-related freezes can be partial like what you're experiencing. Good luck troubleshooting!
Will do, thanks for the tip!
Isn’t it funny that MKBHD has a similar build? Just saying, two weeks in…is it really you?
I haven't tried that since my build is new, and the problem started just a couple of days after setting up Windows. I did a full factory reset and am reinstalling drivers from scratch now.
