Hey everyone! I just applied for a Solution Architect role at Amazon, and the recruiter mentioned there will be an online assessment before anything else. I'm curious about what kind of questions I should prepare for. Are they similar to the AWS Solution Architect certification exam, or are they more focused on general system design? How seriously should I take this assessment? Is it as challenging as the software engineering ones that require extensive leet code practice? I want to know if I should just review the AWS Leadership Principles and give it a shot. By the way, I'm not AWS certified; I only have the Cloud Practitioner certification, but I do work with multiple cloud platforms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

From my experience a couple of years back, the assessment included a mix of database and networking questions, along with some general inquiries. It wasn’t strictly cloud-related, so don’t stress too much about the cloud-specific topics! Just ensure you have a good grasp of the basics.
Thanks for the insight! I was considering brushing up on my fundamentals. Sounds like I shouldn’t go all out like I would for a Solutions Architect exam prep, right?
