Can I Use a Dual NVME M.2 Adapter on My Asus TUF B450 PLUS?

I'm working with an Asus TUF B450 PLUS Gaming motherboard, featuring a Ryzen 5700x and a Radeon 7800XT, along with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and an 850W Gold PSU. Currently, I have one M.2 slot occupied by a 1TB M.2 SSD. I also have a 1TB HDD, a 1TB SSD, and a 500GB SSD. There's another 1TB M.2 SSD installed in a PCIe adapter that sits below my graphics card. Additionally, I have a USB 3.0 Expansion PCIe card in the 3rd PCIe slot. I came across a dual NVME adapter from UGREEN and I'm curious if I can install this dual M.2 NVME adapter in the second PCIe slot and use both NVME slots, while moving my existing NVME PCIe adapter to the third slot and the USB expansion into the fourth slot.

Unfortunately, the second slot only supports x4 and will only work with a single M.2 SSD at a time.

Oh really? Are you sure? I'm not too concerned about getting full M.2 speeds.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but it's hard to give a definite answer on compatibility without testing it out myself.
