I'm currently using an older GTX 1080, and I think it's time for an upgrade. I want to play modern games at high to ultra settings on a 1080p monitor with 170Hz refresh rate. Ray tracing would be a nice feature, but it's not essential right now. I'm also wondering how my choice would change if I switched to a 1440p monitor. I'm considering a few options: RX 9060 XT 16GB for €380, RX 7800 XT for €480, and RTX 5060TI 16GB for €460. What do you all recommend?

Do you prioritize ray tracing? If so, the RTX 5060 TI 16GB is the way to go. If you’re okay without it, the RX 7800 XT for just 20€ more offers significantly better raw performance. Personally, I’d lean towards the 7800 XT, but consider what matters most to you.
If your overall system is set up to avoid bottlenecks, the RX 7800 XT is a solid choice. It’s priced well for the performance you’re getting.
I’d suggest going for either the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the RTX 5060 TI 16GB. The RX 7800 XT has some strong performance but honestly, the extra cost for it isn’t worth it to me because FSR3 doesn’t add enough value for my needs.
If ray tracing is important to you, then the RTX 5060 TI 16GB or the RX 9060 XT 16GB are good picks. Otherwise, the RX 7800 XT is a powerhouse for the price.
Just upgraded from a 1070 Ti to a 9070 XT, and the leap has been fantastic! The RX 9060 XT 16GB sounds like a great option for you as well, considering performance and cost.
