I'm trying to decide between the new AMD Radeon 9060 XT and the previous generation 7800 XT for my gaming PC build. My budget is set between $1000 to $1500. I want to know if the 9060 XT is worth it or if I should go for the 7800 XT instead. Any insights on performance differences or pricing would be appreciated!

Hey, what’s the price of the 9060 XT in your area? I saw some going for over $600 but also an 8GB version for $349. That seems pretty high for a lower-tier card. Might wanna check around before deciding!

Honestly, the 9060 XT is closer to the performance of the 7700 XT, so if you’re comparing those two, the 7800 XT is definitely the stronger option. It's a solid performer for more demanding games.

Before making a decision, I’d recommend looking at benchmarks to see which card really meets your needs. That way, you can weigh the performance against the cost.

The 7800 XT is generally a better performer, especially for 1440p gaming, as it's about 20% faster than the 9060 XT at raw rasterization. If you're mainly gaming at 1080p, the 9060 XT could work, but for a bit more power, I’d lean towards the 7800 XT for future-proofing.

Curious why you're choosing between these two specifically? Check out this build I put together – it's within your budget and could give you a good idea of what parts to look at.

**PCPartPicker Build**:
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- Thermalright Peerless Assassin CPU Cooler
- Gigabyte B650M Motherboard
- 32GB DDR5 RAM
- 2TB NVMe SSD
- Radeon RX 9070 XT
- Total around $1469

Can you share a link to the 9070 XT at its MSRP? I really need to see that before making a decision!

Just a heads up, that motherboard is not great, and the UD90 isn't very reliable. Plus, some of your component choices could be better in terms of aesthetics and compatibility.
