Upgrading My Setup for a New RTX 3080 – What Do I Need?

Hey everyone! I just got a Gigabyte RTX 3080, and it's been a while since I've looked into the latest hardware. I mainly use my PC for gaming, some music production, and I'm considering streaming down the line. I'm curious about what components I should pair with my new GPU. I'm thinking about going with something from the AM5 lineup. Here are my current specs to give you a better idea:

- Monitor: 3440x1440 @ 144Hz
- CPU: Ryzen 7 1700X
- Motherboard: X370 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7A32)
- RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 @ 2933MHz
- PSU: EVGA GQ 750W 12V 80+ gold (which I bought back in 2017, so I might need a new one soon)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking for a cost-effective option, consider grabbing a Ryzen 5 5600X for about $110. It shouldn’t bottleneck your 3080. If you have a bit more to spend, the 5700X3D for around $200 is a solid choice and performs great. Good luck!

Thanks! If I budget for the 5700X3D, would it significantly improve performance in CPU-intensive games compared to something like the Ryzen 7 7800X3D?
