I'm moving from an old hand-me-down PC to a new one that I'm building myself. I'm not very tech-savvy, and from what I've gathered, it looks like I have to buy Windows to install it on my new machine (which I haven't put together yet). But a friend mentioned using something called Clonezilla or other methods to transfer Windows 11 over to the new PC. Is that possible?

If you're planning to reuse your Windows version, it really depends on the type of license you have. If it's a retail version, you can transfer it to your new motherboard with Microsoft support. But if it's an OEM version, you're going to have to buy a new license since it's tied to your old motherboard.
Yeah, I heard that OEM is a real hassle when switching hardware. Retail seems like the better option for future upgrades!
