Why does my Razer Viper Mini freeze on one PC but not another?

I've been using my Razer Viper Mini Ultralight wired mouse since the start of the year without any issues, but now I've run into a problem. Sometimes the mouse freezes as if there's a tracking issue, but when I try it on a different computer, it works perfectly fine. I've used the same mousepad on both systems, and it looks alright. I've attempted several fixes already:

1. Restarting my PC
2. Reinstalling the mouse and graphics drivers
3. Testing different USB ports
4. Running an SFC scan
5. Turning the HDMI cable on and off (since I only use one monitor)

Have you tried using different mice on that PC? If other mice behave the same way, it could be something with the system. Also, make sure to install Razer Synapse if you haven’t already—lowering the polling rate in the performance settings might help. That sometimes resolves weird mouse behavior.

It sounds like an odd situation! Is the mouse freezing the only symptom, or are programs stuttering too? If it’s not just the mouse, maybe something in the background is eating up your CPU. Check out the task manager for any unusual activity. Running a Malwarebytes scan might be a good idea too, just in case some malware is causing issues. Since your mouse is wired, electrical interference is less likely, but make sure you've tried both USB 3 and USB 2 ports on both the front and back of your motherboard. Also, don’t forget to check for USB driver updates.
