Hey everyone! I'm trying to make text-based QR codes for my job to simplify naming files with a handheld zebra scanner. I've found an online generator that works perfectly for this. My main question is: if I generate a QR code with plain text and snip it without downloading it, will it remain the same indefinitely? Like, if I come back to it in six months or even six years, will it still scan the same text?

Absolutely! Text-only QR codes can definitely encode plain text. The URL ones are different since they rely on an external service to fetch the real data. But once you've encoded something into a QR code as text, it will always scan as that same text, provided the QR code remains legible. No worries there!
Just to add a layer of caution: while text-only QR codes are generally safe, they can be used to direct you to unsafe content if you don’t know the source. Always be cautious with QR codes in general. Just make sure you trust where it’s coming from!
