I'm in a bit of a pickle and need your advice! I've got to decide this week whether to pursue a bachelor's in Software Engineering or Computer Science. I've been leaning towards Software Engineering, but I've heard that the job market is pretty saturated and could get tougher with AI advancements. On the other hand, the thought of diving into Computer Science makes me nervous, especially since I come from a medicine background and have been out of touch with math for a while. I'm planning to study in China and just want to know what's better for my future—SE or CS? Is it even feasible to start CS without a strong math foundation? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 🙂

Honestly, both degrees are quite similar in terms of job prospects. CS usually leans more towards theory, while SE is more hands-on. You'll need similar math skills for both, and don't worry—they'll teach you what you need in either program. Pick the one that excites you more; you'll do great no matter which path you take!
Totally agree! I switched from nursing to CS and loved it. Just remember, if you find the courses tricky, internships can really help you out in the job market!
