Can Public Libraries Access Microsoft Non-Profit Pricing Without a 501(c)(3)?

Hey everyone! We're a public library with a TechSoup account, but we're running into a problem. We can't get Microsoft licensing for non-profit pricing because we're classified as a 501(c)(7) organization. I know that Microsoft expanded their non-profit benefits to public libraries last year, but after applying through TechSoup, we got an email saying we need to provide a 501(c)(3) form, which we don't have. I've tried reaching out to TechSoup, but I haven't heard back. Has anyone else faced this issue? We're struggling with budget cuts and really need access to these resources!

You actually just need to be listed on the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) site. It seems like TechSoup might be mistaken in this case. I'm in IT at a library and use TechSoup too, and we haven't had this issue! You should check there!

Thanks for the tip! I checked and we do have a TechSoup account, but the pricing we’re getting is more like educational pricing, which is nowhere near what's listed for non-profits. For example, Microsoft shows basic 365 business as free for 300 users on their non-profit site, but our TechSoup pricing is $6 per user. So confusing!
