Hey everyone! I'm dealing with an issue where the lid of my Lenovo Ideapad gaming laptop is separating from the hinge. I noticed this while I was working on a school project, and I can even see some light coming through the back of the device. I bought this laptop about two and a half years ago, so it's no longer under warranty. I'm wondering if using glue would be a good idea to fix it? What do you think?

Here's a picture of the issue I found online that looks similar to mine. Sorry I didn’t add it earlier! https://preview.redd.it/i8mi7ayhu85f1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=e25267623e4088cde625d2f3ba4a874f6647e4d8

If you're considering adhesive, I recommend using something stronger than regular glue. I fixed a broken hinge with JB Weld, which I found at an auto store. It held for about six months before it cracked again, but after a quick touch-up, it’s been holding strong for another eight months. Just a heads up, it can get messy, and you might want to carefully remove the bezel for better application, especially if the break is near the monitor. If you can, taking it to a repair shop is a solid option too, depending on how much you're willing to spend.

I live in a pretty remote area, so getting to a shop could take at least a month. Do you think it's easy to apply that glue in such a tight space? I'm not really confident about disassembling my laptop.
