Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up Docker on my Windows PC again after reinstalling Windows, but I'm facing some issues. Previously, I had Docker running smoothly, even with Immich. Now, after the fresh installation, Docker won't start and keeps saying "Docker Engine stopped". I also noticed there's an update available, but whenever I try to install it, I get an error that says "Unable to install new update. An unexpected error occurred. Try again later". I've done some searching online and seen similar problems, with suggestions to check my BIOS settings or to downgrade Docker, but none of that has worked. It's frustrating because this version of Docker was working perfectly on this PC before the reinstall. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd recommend looking into running a Linux VM instead of struggling with Docker Desktop on Windows. Using tools like VMware, VirtualBox, or Hyper-V can give you a much more reliable Docker experience. Once you have your VM set up, you can run Docker natively inside it. Plus, VMs are easier to manage; you can take snapshots and restore them if things go wrong.
I actually just resolved a similar issue! I was messing around in PowerShell trying to get WSL updated, and I checked the settings.JSON file for the `wslEngineEnabled` setting. It was already enabled, but after reopening Docker, it surprisingly started working again! No idea what changed, but it worked for me.
