I've always used Macs, mainly laptops, but now I'm keen to build a PC for gaming and using creative software (though not anything too heavy like Blender, at least not yet). A big part of my excitement is doing some cool artistic decorations on the case as well!

I'm working with a budget around $1500 but do have a little flexibility. I plan to add more fans for cooling later, but right now I'm mainly focused on the essential components. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, you could save on the cooler too. Some decent options go for around $20 instead of $35. If you’re considering RGB, check brands like Thermalright. Good luck on your first build!
Looks good, just a couple of tweaks. Instead of the 7700 XT, try the 7800 XT or something Nvidia like the 4070—better for productivity and art programs. Also, think about getting better RAM—like 2x16GB that's 6000 CL30; should be just a little more expensive but worth it! You're on the right track!
You might also want to consider slightly downgrading components if you can snag a better GPU without breaking the bank. My build a while back was similar, and I managed to get a good deal on an RTX 3060, which has served me perfectly for both gaming and creative work.
